The 2010 Bogert Farmers' Market Kicks Off June 1st!

The Bogert Farmers' Market has quickly become Bozeman's premier summer event! This is the eighth year for the Market and it has become tradition to start the event the first Tuesday in June. This year the market starts June 1st and runs every Tuesday evening from 5-8pm thru September 21st.

The Bogert Farmers Market offers a wide variety of arts, produce, dinner options, children's activities, music, non-profit exhibits & more. This family oriented market is run by The Friends of Bogert Park, a not-for-profit, working to rejuvenate and upkeep Bogert Park. If you are interested in helping out with the fundraising efforts or if you can donate to projects directly, please contact them at the number below.

Our market is sponsored by many local businesses, which allows us to do a lot of advertising - with our presenting sponsors: ABC, My103.5 and Bozeman Magazine to banners on Main Street and other local publications that have or are writing articles about our local farmers market. Check out our BFM banner that we hang weekly at the Market or the posters we put up around town… the sponsors are on those and we need to make sure that we give thanks and "shop back" and support them too for supporting us!!

This season you will notice a few projects that have been completed and some others that are still under progress to be completed at the park.

It is only from the support of the Bogert Farmers' Market, the Friends of Bogert Park and working with the wonderful City of Bozeman's Parks Department from that these projects have happened and will continue to happen at the park.

Each week there is live music during the "shopping time" at the Market (5-8pm) and in addition at 6:30pm there's more local music at the parks band shell. The Bozeman City Band, playing big band music, will start an eight week run on June 22-August 10th-they play from 8-9pm.. Even more fun is every market week having two different community groups such as: The Museum of the Rockies, The Children's Museum, Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter or perhaps this years' community mural with artist Anne Menge, that showcase themselves and in turn host the "Family Activities" area of our Market - activities for the whole family!

Space at the Bogert Famers Market is limited to 100 vendors, keeping the setting intimate and manageable for its patrons. Many people walk or ride bikes to Bogert Park's convenient location, three blocks south of Main Street on South Church Avenue.

So come out to the Bogert Farmers Market… meet family and friends for dinner, listen to live music, do a little shopping and enjoy an evening outside in our great community of Bozeman.

We are striving to create a place for families and friends to gather, socialize and share in a fun-filled community environment!
